Vampire Rabbit Wooden Decoration
One of the best hidden treasures of Newcastle, and one my all time favourite things in Newcastle, is the vampire rabbit!
He has lurked above an ornate entrance behind St. Nicholas's Cathedral for over 100 years, and no one is quite sure why.
He's cut and etched in 3mm birch ply and hand painted before being finished with a gloss varnish. He hangs from a thin red ribbon - to compliment is blood red teeth and claws!
He measures 93mm in height and 81mm in width.
